When you're making room in your closet for the latest styles, please consider donating your pre-loved items to those in need. It's a great way to give back to the community and the planet. One woman's trash is another woman's treasure.

Donating pre-loved clothes also offers an opportunity to teach children about caring for people in need and caring for the environment.
For the USA, check out the following. See donation centres for Australia and UK.
  • Dress for Success is a nonprofit organization which provides work attire for low-income women including clothes for attending job interviews. It helps women move towards financial stability and independence, and achieve job or career goals.Visit the Dress for Success website to find a location near you. Please email first as all drop offs are by appointment only.
  • GreenDrop accepts used clothing on behalf of other nonprofit and charity partners, including the American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and National Federation of the Blind. Schedule an at-home pick or take your items to a local drop-off center.
  • The Salvation Army operates homeless shelters and provides support for the elderly and veterans. Find a drop-off location or schedule a pick-up by giving them a call. Earnings from donations help fund beneficial programs and essential services for people in need.
  • If you have coats to donate, please contact One Warm Coat, a nonprofit that provides free coats to people in need. One Warm Coat also promotes environmental sustainability keeping unwanted clothes out of landfill through the coat drive program. The cost of a warm coat can be a strain on a family's budget so please donate yours and make an impact in the community and the lives of those in need. Please visite the locator tool for the nearest place to donate.
  • Goodwill is another well-known organization that provides community outreach for low-income families and individuals. The organization is best known for its thrift stores, which operate throughout the US. Donate by finding a local donation center on the Goodwill website.
  • Savers started its first thrift store in 1954 and has since opened locations across the US, Canada, and Australia. The organization partners with local nonprofit organizations and accepts donations of clothing, paying them for those items to help fund programs in local communities. Visit Savers for a donation center in your area.
